Default 04' Sold for 35k to my locall dealer!!

I stopped by my local Dodge dealer to say hello to a friend. As I pulled up there was a red 04' Viper that the owner just sold to the dealer for 35k. It is near mint with 18k miles but has slight curb damage to the passenger side wheels.

Who in there right mind would do such a thing? Couldn't you sell it outright to someone else and fetch much more?

Or perhaps the value of these cars isn't holding well?

I find it hard to believe that a Viper couldn't fetch higher numbers elsewhere. Guy must have been a real dummy.

I won't knock anything in today's times. I've seen and heard people selling things for nothing what they are worth, but need the money so fast they have no choice.

This is sad. I've seen ppl sell a lot of stuff for much less than it's value because they need the money in a hurry. a customer just sold his 1985 mercedes sl500 convertible with 21k miles at the dealer I work at, nearly mint, for like 3-4 thousand dollars. The dealer's owner kept it in his garage right now.

Sounds about right. You can buy one in the 40's any day, and the previous gen in the 30's.
