Oh ya and about breaking it in...what's involved? Keeping the revs below a certain level until 1000 KMs?

So many questions...about fuel...what is the lowest octane required...will it run on 87 / 89 octane?

for the push button start, you put the key and turn it all the way forward, then push the button.(if you accidently try to start it with the key, the key just won't move). the top is manual but it doesn't take long to put up or down. i work at a dealer and have driven them around the lot but never on the road[:@]. i would love just drive one once on the road, but i can't even imagine having one of my own for 2 years! have fun with it!

the convertible top, is it power or manually operated?
Manual. One problem that you may run into is having the top up and closing the doors though. There might be a gap in which rain can get in. This is a common problem on the convertibles.

what is the lowest octane required?
For fuel, the manual says 93 Octane for the SRT-10, but 91 won't harm it at all. A lot of SRT-10 owners go with 91 instead. Just nothing below 91.

Oh ya and about breaking it in...what's involved?
500 miles for break-in. The car will be kinda sluggish until the engine sets in and a couple of thousand miles to "hold on". You probably want to keep it under 3500-4000 rpm, but not floored.

is there a single sub-woofer somewhere?
I believe so between the driver and passengers seats. There's two large speakers, one of which is a sub. There's also two other speakers located on the side of both doors too.

Well we'll see how the top holds up to rain in Vancouver. Since I don't have a garage, I guess I'll be investing in a car cover. Heck, maybe a tarp and some bungee cords (kidding about the tarp).

91 is the best that most gas stations have up here aside from Chevron which carries 92 and 94. I don't mind putting the good stuff in just curious as to how poorly it would run on 87 for example. I always put 94 octane in my 97 Talon TSI AWD when I had it and really noticed a difference when I put the cheap stuff in. I really miss that car. Been driving a Caravan every since, hehe.

Good to see that the passenger air bag can be turned off and that they actually put car seat brackets around the passenger seat. I'll be able to take my little ones for a cruise. Can't wait.

If I can't afford the gas (it will be tough) I'll just use my line of credit and then, at lease end, try to sell it privately and make some money off of it Then pay off my credit line. What the hell, you only live once right?

It's a 2 year lease with payments of $2500 = $60000. I don't know what the residual is yet though. Knowing that these are the payments that they are making on my behalf, any guesstimates as to what the residual might be? I'm talking $60,000 CDN and Canadian MSRP on this car is $127,000.

Oh and what about wet weather driving...do these things have traction control of any kind? I'm thinking not.

Nope, that is one of the downfalls. There is no standard traction control on SRT-10's. It does have ABS though. There is also child safety locks which are an option and may be on your Viper to prevent any kids going out. Lol
