ONLY dealers getting $4000 incentive on Vipers
I once again heard through the grapevine that for all the older Vipers hanging around that havent sold yet, Chrysler is offering the dealers a 4G bump to try to help move some of them, so if you want one, you might be able to strike a better deal at this point knowing that the dealer is going to make a little something extra for now on it... the trick is trying to get some of that money to come your way as part of a dealer rebate on that Viper SRT.
Yes you are right about the $4000
We just had a car show in town that had the Viper club and the Mopar Club showing cars. The Viper club has around 12 cars here selling rides for the Ronald Mcdonald house. They got to hit 160 in the interstate without interference.........was niceeeeeeee

I put an ad out to sell regular 2005 Vipers for $74,900 and Copperheads for $78,000 and nobody even made calls inquiring about them. Wonder what is going on?
to begin with an SRT just isnt a good investment anymore, the demand for them has fizzled out due to the high price and low amount of features that alot of the older buyers with money are looking for. Today you pay 75 G's for one and a few thousand miles later you can only sell it for maybe 60-65 G's if your lucky. I am seeing older Vipers(RT & GTS) selling for more than the SRT's are, not good. Plus the new body style just doesnt do it for anyone like the RT's and GTS's did. The SRT doesnt have the same sound, feel and look of the original Viper's that still out-perform the new ones even though they had less HP and Torque. Just compare an SRT to a new Vette... all kinds of cool features, good power, handling, looks kinda like an SRT anyway and cheaper...they are just a nicer ride than the new Viper and that being the case its a hard sell for the SRT's. For that matter I would really rather have a 300 SRT-8 than a SRT Viper, 4 doors, comfort, style and fast as sh*t to boot.
And anybody that buys new cars with any regularity knows that the values of the previous year models go down once the new models come out. So most buy a new car as soon as they are available in the previous year to get that extra 6 months or so of added value in case of trade-in or sale.

I guess what I am trying to say is any 06's left once they show the official 08 could go very fast (which I understand will be in Sept that we will get a look at the 08), just depends on how much of a spash the 08 makes. Right now though, it is all in a holding pattern until we see the 08.
