First off let me say hi I’m new to this site, however I have been watching and reading for awhile now. I remember a year or so ago I ran across a way to lower the seats in a 97 viper; however, I have since then forgot where I read it or even how it was done. I’m thinking it was just something you can buy that would drop the seat a inch or two. I’m 6’7” so you can see my pain when the top is on. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated.

 

There a a few sites that sell seat lowering kits, 1" and 2". Usually the 1" kit will still allow the seat to travel. The 2" results in no movement of the seat. partsrack.com has them. Someone on the VCA site also made their own (fixed, no movement).
