That is pretty much what to expect from stock vs stock. The Z06 edges the current Viper. As for the Viper taking the lead off the line, has nothing to do with the cars, has to do with RT and the drivers.

The hardtop really is not any different, while SLIGHTLY lighter it is not enough to pull ahead. The cars are very close. Just wait for the 08 when Dodge retakes the crown and raises the bar to a very high level like they did in the 90s.
