Default Exhaust

I have a 2003 Viper.. Does anyone have a picture of the undercarrige showing the exhaust? I want to install the quicktime performance electric cutouts but dont know if there is space. Also what size are the stock pipes? 2 1/2 or 3 inch? Thanks

I believe they are 3', but if you plan to replace them don't go over 3'. It won't produce anything beneficial from it.

This is the product im planning on putting on. I had in installed in a corvette and it sounded great. its nice to go from Mild to wild with a touch of a button and its not expensive at all. I just havent gotten under my viper to see if it fits. I'll keep you posted

You can not get "under" your 2003 and see your exhaust. You will have to remove the side sill, that is the down side. The upside, once removed you will not have to get under the car, exhuast is exposed and accessable by sitting right next to the car.

I assume this cut out is going on front of the CAT. There will probably be room in there. Although I would be concerned about it. Opening a big hole in the exhaust inside the sills, does not sound like a good idea.

Have some experience with the QTP cutouts as well. I have a pair on my 04 Ram SRT 10. They put 4 cats on the Rams, not sure if the Vipers have 2 or 4. I picked up 3' cutouts and they fit fine. I'm only guessing the Vipers and Rams have the same midpipe diameter I may be wrong. You could try in front of the cats, but you can and probably will lose some low end torque . When I contacted QTP about their cutouts, they suggested behind the cats as the best option for exactly that reason. I would've still stuck them up front to bypass the converters, but the Rams really don't have the room in front of or in between cats. Obviously you'll get more volume if you go in front of the cats, but just having them in front of the muffler (2in 2out on Rams) is awesome. If you had a set on another car you already know how cool they are. Hope that helps some.

Yea i had them on serveral cars its great you can go from stock to loud as hell in a second. Im still not sure were it would fit on the Viper since it has the side exhaust. I have to get down there but i just havent had any time. If you put them before the cats you will get a check engine light i think thats why they recommend after cats.
