I hadn't heard of the throttle reset either. I tried it and it did make a difference in throttle response. I was quite surprised how much of a difference it made. My truck has 23,000km on it and was the first reset.

I usually reset my throttle as well. Turn the key to the on position(don't start it) and push the gas pedal to the floor and hold it for about 10 seconds. Turn the key to the off position while the pedal is still to the floor and hold for another 10 seconds and then slowly release the gas pedal.

This drains all power from your PCM. Does not damage anything. No sparks all it does is drain the power and resets your PCM. This is done if you add any mods like CAI for example. It immediatley adjusts the airflow change from stock. The computer will eventually adjust the airlow over time. This way you get the full benefit of the mod right away.

Thanks Walt. So do you have to reset the PCM to reset the gas pedal?
