I saw where a couple people mentioned bringing extra fluids, but no one said anything about JB Waterweld. that stuff claims to start setting up in two minutes (even under water) and be fully cured in 20. That would be a good thing to have if someone were to crack a differential/transfer case/radiator etc. I got a tube of that today, hopefully no one will need it.
if someone needs that then i think that were trying to go trough stuff that our truck can't handle, if anyone will need it it will be meanwhitemopar... now that i've said that i'm sure i will be the one that needs it...
Its nice to have a 6$ tube of insurance and not need it then need it and not have it.
My brother in laws drive shaft fell off when he was about an hour away from home and it cracked the transfer case in the process. If he had some of that stuff then he could have limped it home in four wheel drive.
So has anyone ever been out there? I've been to Badin lake a few times, but I've never hit the trails.
I was reading through the website for the park and I noticed this
Anyone into arrowhead hunting? That would surely catch your attention if you were. Don't worry, I'll try not to wander off in search of our ancestors weaponry.

According to geologists, the Uwharries were created from an ancient chain of volcanoes.
The only person I know that has gone went in a stock Z71 and ended up caving in the lower half of his door and he told me that you shouldn't go out there without a lift. I don't know if he knew about the trail rating system though, he might have been hitting the middle of the road difficulty trails.
I was gonna have them ready for the GTG and send them to either SMKNRAM or you.
BUT no one liked mine so I said screw it...LOL
Still kinda partial to mine and kept it in my sig
(and would have looked great on clear.......)
Oh well

There is always a possibility of damage when taking your truck offroad. Dude in the Z71 may have been on one of the easy trails and taken a bad line or maybe just slipped down a bank into a rock. However that possibility of damage decreases if you have a good spotter and just use common sense. if the line looks too rough for your truck then try and find another one. There should be bypasses on most of the bigger obstacles as well. and it is pretty much a given that natural pinstriping will occur. plus CHICKS DIG BODY DAMAGE!! And the 4x4s have a little more clearance than the chevy Z71. I checked it the other day against my buddies.
haha. And Sheriff i totally agree with you on the bottle of "insurance." You never know whats going to happen.

Yeah the majority of trails are very easy and a stock non lifted dakota can handle them...At least mine excelled there last year before I modified it, it was on street tires, after my mods I was on the moderate to difficult trails.
