neon lights
I have a 1990 dodge daytona. My daytona is red with yellow brake calipers. I want to put neons on but dont know what color. I first wanted to put red on but then my uncle said to put yellow to carry it over more. Please help me out..... Thanks alot.......
He's right...
For starters, having red & blue neons on your car in most states is illegal. This is because Emergency vehicles use those colors and they do not want them on cars. You can install them, but driving around in the car with them on...will only get you ticketed constantly.
Most states will let you put red or blue neons on your car....but you are only allowed to have them on while the car is parked.
As for the other colors, most states have different laws in regards to how you can have them. Some states will allow you to drive around with them on, others will not. Some states have strict laws in regards to what colors you can have, and how they are being shown on the car. The bulbs CAN NOT be visible from the side of car or you will be pulled over.
You have a red car, and yellow will stand out so much more. White would be a good color also, but unfortunately its just not bright enough in my view. Yellow would provide a better contrast, and it shows up better in the evening and in full dark.
Good luck!

I agree. Yellow would look really good. You have to have something that will contrast and make it stand out. You have a red car and it sounds like you accent color is yellow so that would be the way to go. Don't get me wrong red would work and look good also if you wanted something more subtle but if you really want people to see it go with yellow. But ultimately its up to you what you want.
i'd go with the yellow
why put time, work and money into some thing you can only use in parking lots?
neon lights are legal, the only restriction is the color and visibility of the bars

they may be legal where you come from batman but alot of cities and states have completely outlawed neons no matter how visible the are or what color they are and big c, try looking into led instead of neon....you may think neon just looks better, but the technology of led has come a long way... not to mention led is FAR more durable than neon. just a suggestion
