Default how do wires work

I plan on getting wire wheels for my dak but i've always wondered how they actually attach
is there a piece that you bolt on then you put the actual wheel on and use a spinner to hold it on?
any help would be great

With wire wheels, you bolt the rim on and then you have a cover piece that covers up the lugnuts. You use a special wrench/tool to bolt this piece down. These cover pieces are either twisted on or are simply held in place by 1-2 screws. You do of course have to use the tool for the screws.

Not all wire wheels do this, but that's typically been the case for the ones I've encountered.
