In materials you're looking at maybe $50 of paint and sandpaper. It's a relatively flat surface, so easy to work with, shouldn't take anyone who knows what they're doing longer than 2.5 hours of work (most of which is sanding), you do the math. Flat black can be tricky, the clear on normal paint jobs hides imperfections a little, just make sure your painter knows what he's doing.

Depends, if you use Duponts hot rob black, its a low gloss flat black single stage, so you dont need clear. You can pick it up from autobody stores for relitivly cheap. 320 your hood, lay the paint down and thats about it.....Id probably charge about 150-200 to prep and piant.....
