Default nerf bars

I have been looking at getting some nerf bars for the quad cab, and have seen many different brands and types (chrome vs. powder coated aluminum). Any suggestions on brand and material? Any brands to definitely stay away from? Thanks!

The best is stainless steel which is the most rust resistant and most brands offer a lifetime warranty (unless its powdercoated). If you get powdercoated, expect the powdercoating to last 2 or 3 years before it will begin to come off.

I can't say that I've seen many aluminum bars, but for someone who wants coloured, anodizing does one hell of a good job, and makes the aluminum stronger.

These steps below are brand new to the market. I just received my dealer samples. The nerfs take interchangable color stripes. They sent me "textured" aluminum with a red stripe and a "high gloss" powdercoated black with a chrome stripe. I gotta tell ya, the black one is STUNNING in person. It's the sharpest looking nerf I've ever seen. Again, these are aluminum, so no rust.

I just installed a set of Westin Signature Series in Black on my '02 Ram 1500 QC. I'll get some pics up as soon as I can!
