Default Location of IAT sensor

Could anyone tell me where to look for the IAT sensor on a 97 Avenger, even the guys at the part store couldn't help me locate it under the hood.

The IAT sensor could be in the rubber intake to the throttle body
OR
It's the battery temp sensor
DCX found the readings were close enough between air temp and battery temp they eliminated the IAT sensor on some cars!!!!
