Ok I was just got my shadow es back on the road and everything and now yesterday on my way home the tranny kept getting stuck in first gear. I turned the car off popped it into neutral started it again it was good until it had to downshift into first again if I had to stop or slow way down. When it shifted into first(actuallyI'm not too sure what gearbut it feels like2nd but never leaves first so how would it be in second?)it shifted real hard and gave a jerk and thump. It has tranny fluid (maybe a little too much, problem?) and ran fine after it shifted out of first. 3.0 V6 auto 92 I am thinking electrical because everytime I turned it off and back on again it would go back to normal. what do you think?

 

Could be solenoids are bad and the transmission goes into limp, which explains its picking 2nd or 1st.for driving,you might need a rebuild or just replace a shift solenoid or two.
