Default Flushing oil

Has anyone used a flushing oil, or any other additive for cleaning out the inside of your engine before? I've got some build up, probably because I changed oil brands about 6- 8 months ago and would like to clean it out. It's gumming up my PCV.

a little better than kerosene is auto trans fluid. its very high in detergent and is 10 weight. drain out 2 qts oil and replace with atf. let idle for about 20-30 min. DONT DRIVE, although it probably wouldn't hurt it, keep an eye on your oil pressure to make sure it doesn't drop due to clogged up oil filter. then change oil and filter.

pcv gum up is sometimes condensation, milky white. it will also get oily no matter what because manifold vac is sucking oily air through it.

I've heard kerosene is not good. It can sometimes eat away at the gaskets. Never thought of atf.

My "gum" is light brown and a little too dark from what I've seen from previous experience water/oil mixes so I don't think it's condensation. Although I'm running semi-synthetic now so that may still be the case. Regardless, I won't know until I can flush it clean and keep an eye on it.
