Default 96 Neon MAP Sensor Problem

Hey everyone. I've got a '96 Neon sport that's throwing the codes that say "Map Sensor Voltage Low" and "No 5V to map sensor". Needless to say the car is not running well with a rough idle. I purchesed a new MAP sensor and reset the computer, but it's still doing the same thing and throwing the same codes

What exactly do these codes mean and where should I look to solve this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Default RE: 96 Neon MAP Sensor Problem

You need a wiring diagram and some understanding rather than just throwing parts at it.
No 5 volt to the sensor and low map voltage alone tell me that the sensor is/was not the problem.
The 5 volt line is a reference supply line to the sensor and a lower return voltage is expected.
If you have a no 5 volt code you will almost always get a low map voltage code as well.

In short look for the reason for the no 5 volt code. That will usually fix the low map voltage code as well.
There is an open in the 5 volt refeence line somewhere or a bad PCM.
