On almost all new cars, you generally need a special tool in order to remove the windshield...thats about all I know.

I think you might find better help here in general tech since your thread fell in the Neon section.

I seen it done once took the guy 30 mins. All he did was use the special tool that the looked like a mini flat triangled shovel that had a steel cable attached to it with a handle at the end. He stuck the hook underneath the glass and pulled the handle and scrapped underneaththe front winshieldon all 4 sides. It might help if you heat the edges first I honeslty don't know. After that he got in and attach sucktion cups and pushed it out. Got out and replaced the sucktion cups on the outside of the glass and pull it off. Went back to his tool an scraped all the extra black silicon off till it was kinda smooth. Used some more black silicon and tracked the window frame with it and place the new window on top. Then taped the window to the car and said not to get it wet for 24hours then you can remove the tape.

thank you all for responding to my post...I have successfully installed my new windshield and i am back on the road! On a much more somber note I had my car insulted today! eI work at VIP a local discount Parts and Tires place and I was helping a customer with his goodies and two back woods rednecks driving a crappy ford escort had the gall to say to me hey look at this thing, who the hell tricks out a Neon?! Waste of good rims and paint! So I said to the guy you dont like my car? He shut up quick but boy was I mad!
