I was told that i can run straight pipe on my truck and that it wouldn't damage the engine. I did so about 2k ago. Does anyone know if it will?? There's 90k on the vehicle now. I definitely notice that i have more power and pulling a 31' trailer is with a breeze. I live in Pennsylvania so the weather definitely changes with the seasons.

you can run a straight pipe but its not legal, and you feel that extra power because its a freer exhaust so the gases arent easily trapped giving you better flow but no it wont damage the engine.

Thanks shogunn!!! I also noticed my mileage dropping from around 20-21 to 16-17 over the past year. I read in a article that if you remove the IAT sensor, which is located on the back of the intake on the driver's side, clean the carbon build up and reinstallit.Disconnect the batteries for approx. an hour, which i did mine for 2.5hrs, reconnect them and check it out. I noticed my mileage jump back up to 20-21mpg and that's no B.S. If that didn't improve it, replace the sensor which they said was around $30.00. The article is actually on the web with pictures showing you exactly where the sensor is. It's located next to the MAP sensor. Like i said on the driver's side in the rear of intake. When i find the web site, i'll post it here. This sounds strange but i think it was on the ford enthusiats forum, threadpower stroke vs cummins. But I'll have to check...
