I have a '99 Ram Van 1500 8 passenger which is in nice shape. Engine 115K, new heads, O2 sensors, plugs and wires. Perfect compression and vacumn.
When it fires up cold it seems to not want to catch and then catches slowly as if only af few cylinders are fireing. It then idles with a slight lope. The real problem is when the off idle torque is so low it will hardly accelerate. If I let it wind up then it developes normal torque and power. Attempts to tow a boat trailer with it show it unable to accelerate with the trailer. Just rolls along until the rpm gest high enough for some torque to develope.
Car has been to Dodge dealer (Key Chrysler in Xenia) for the $79 scan and they had some suggestions which were implimented but none had an effect. Any ideas?
