138, well, right between 135 and 140 when i lifted....i wasnt watching the speedo that closely, i was trying, meekly, to run down a viper...when i caught him WAY down the road, he pulled over at a rest stop, and i spoke with him. he was about 70 years old, and had a full aftermarket digital dashboard, aftermarket pipes, intakes, computer, wheels, interior. it was sick. the recall on his speedo pulled up 181.
The fastest I've hit in the ram is 116mph on highway though very high rpm, they fastest Ive ever gone was in a hennessy viper special clocked at 202mph on the back roads of arizona. Needless to say the cop was very impressed and didnt issue any tickets as long as my friend let him drive it![8D]
Had the speedo on my Coronet pegged 120+MPH back when it was a 318 2-barrel with no mods on the HWY. Gearing would limit it now to around 120, but it wouldn't take long to get there.
I've taken my Daytona to 115mph. She's my baby; I didn't want to ask for more.
I have no idea what the max speed is on a Cherokee Sport, but I've maxed it out more times than I can count.
I couldn't tell how fast I was going when I ran my Shelby Z up in the triple digits, because the "work when it wants to" speedo gauge wasn't working at the time. However, the very kind radarless/laserless officer in the police van said he knew I was doing well over 115 MPH when I went by him. He had to pace me and got me for 85 MPH in a 65MPH.[sm=smiley3.gif]
