Power Wagon electric lockers
Hi guys,
This is my first post in this forum. I am very happy to be here.
I live in BC, Canada. A proud owner of a 2005 Power Wagon. I wheel with it a lot, and all the functions in the truck (diff locks, sway bar, etc.) work frequently and extensively. I have a problem with my diff' lockers controls: last summer (2006) the FR/RR light above the control **** started to flash (with the **** on "unlock" position) and the "Serv 4wd" warning went on. The problem appeared and dissappeared randomly. At the shop (the truck is under warranty, of course) they had to replace the whole electric control system.
This summer the problem came back.
When the light flashes, I can't lock the diffs. [:@]
Anybody knows something about it?
I suspect it has something to do with warmer weather, because it only happens in the summer.
Mind you, warmer weather here is 22-24c...
Thanks
Guy

Found the problem - It was the actuator in the front diff. I had to open the diff to realize that.
It grinded after a brutal release from 4LO, at much higher speed than necessary.
