Default wrong tranny fluid... OOPS!

I added some ATF+3 to my 01 Stratus the other day and now it acts like it wants to stall, but only in drive. When it's in park, it's just fine. I just looked at my manual and it says to use ATF+4. I didn't know there was such a thing. Did I screw it up? How do I fix it? The stalling thing might be something else too i guess. Just throwing out ideas.

In my opinion i would flush the tranny fluid immediately and put the Recommended ATF Fluid in there. Usually mixing fluids won't hurt but in this case they may not mix due to being different weight fluids. Drain original fluid and replace it with what it calls for.
Good luck.

depending on how much its not a worry. the real question is why you needed to add fluid? if its really empty due to leak you may have thrown of the cvi.
