Default Safety Neutral Switch

Ok, so I just did a search. Read over all post's concerning the safety neu. Here is whats going on. The car is a 98 Plym Neon, Auto trans. You turn the key and it try's to start, stops and clicks. Sometime's it just clicks. I have been told to check the safety neu switch. I am currently in the process. Just wanted to throw my problem out there for other idea's. The only code it is throwing is for clutch circuit/torque converter, but was told that wouldn't not let it start. Thanks guys.

nuteral saftey should be easy to check all u have to do is unplug the sensor and ground it to the body. sounds to me like a bad starter relay or even a bad starter. have u tryed to start it in any other gears? like nuteral? or d or 321?

First things first how is the battery and the cables....
Low voltage or corrosion can cause intermittant starting

after thinking about it it could be the tc circuit. the tc could be in lockup causing the motor to "stall"
