400 big block help

Default 400 big block help

i have a 400 big block out of a 1976 cordoba that i am about to build up and i need help deciding on a car or truck to put it in.....

i want to put it in a 80's or up vehicle if possible.....

any suggestions and tech would be appreciated

Well, you can put any engine into any car with enough fabrication. There isn't going ot be an easy swap for a big block into an '80's vehicle, as the largest engine used after 1979 is the 360. A truck would be the easiest, as the frames were virtually unchanged from the years that did have big blocks until 1994. Still not too hard to get a big block in a 2nd gen ram.

If I had a 400, I'd put it in my '78 Aspen. But if I didn't yet have a platform, I'd probably grab a 2 wheel drive half ton short bed and make it haul ***. But then, I already have a 4x4 with a 440.

i appreciate it but what will i have to do about the 727 i have... what mods will i have to do to get the tranny mounted up right?

i got that it came out of the cordoba with the motor
