Default RE: P0305 Misfire ?

I worked on a van not too long ago with the same sort of issues. There is a certain amount of diagnosis involved in a problem like this. It could very well only need new plugs and wires, but the problem could be a bad injector, bad coil, or in the case of the van that I worked on, a cracked intake valve spring....and that was on a 03 with about 80,000. But inspect the plugs, if they are worn or fouled, replace them. If not, try moving the plug and or wire to a different cylinder. If the misfire stays on #5, try swapping injectors. If you get the same problem, check compression on that cylinder. Somewhere along the way you will find the cause
