I just bought my 96 dodge ram this weekend and drove it all the way from northwestern Pa back to Washington DC. Got a killer deal on it and my parents liveup there so what the hey. Anyways, the mileage on the way back impressed me. I thought it was gonna do alot worse than it did. Truck had about 86,000k on the clock and was pretty much fitted out the way I would have liked it other than the catback that the guy who had it before me put on it is real shady in quality, but I will post another topic on that. Are there any known problem areas on these trucks that a new owner should know about so nothing jumps up and surprises me. Thanks in advance.

 

I have a 96 ram. I LOVE the beast..... Watch out for the trannys, they are known for problems. Mine slips alot ,but i am use to it now so i am just running it till the trans mittion dies.
