Default $wheel locking hubs

I have an issue. I tried to engage my four wheel drive this last weekend after a good snowstorm and it would not engage. It would mechanically engage with the floor shifter but the hubs would not lock. not even the light on the dash goes on. I have a feeling it is just a sensor or something electrical like that. But of course my Chilton manuel does not say a thing about four wheel drive other than talking about the transfer case. The specs I have a 99 1500 Ram sport with an Auto and the 5.9l.

Please help it is just the begining of the winter and if it is anything like last winter I will definitely need it.

Default RE: $wheel locking hubs

The auto locking hubs probably inneed of replacing. See if you can find some Manual locking hubs if you dont want to have automatics. Once mine go out I will probably buy some manual hubs (I have a 98 Ram)even if you have to get out n lock each from wheel as long as it doesnt bother you. Otherwords they are probably spendy but I amnot 100% sure what the cost would be.
