Hi all..I have a 2001 shortbox 360 4x4 that get about 11mpg anyway to improve the mpg??It,s killing me at gas prices,,was told when bought should get around 16mpg not close to that...doc413

 

I put on a new Flowmaster exhaust and a chip .....I am now getting 16 mpg...go thing about that is I can tow a 37' Jayco or run empty and get my 16 mpg

 

Try some general tune up. New air filter, plugs, wires, run a bottle of injector cleaner.

 

I've tried many things to do the same on my '94 360 4x4, I have seen a steady 12-13 in the city and about 14-15 on the highway....I have never in the 4 yrs I have had the truck got over 15 mpg....I don't know what other people can pull off, but I drive my truck and don't worry about gas because if I wanted something that got better gas mileage, I would have bought a slow chevy!...
