got 2001 dakota 4.7...it shuts down and surges when i have beem driving it for a little while, some times it will shut down and is hard to start up, almost seems like a fuel problem but i am not sure because after it sits for a while it is fine, but it will start doing it again, i have changed the IAC, TPS, speed sensors, cleaned out the manifold, just wondering if i need a new PCM or something else

 

im assuming you mean a P0601 code?
if it is, your SOL. a 0601 means internal PCM fault. only repair is to replace the PCM.
call 1-800-297-9450. guy's in vegas, but has the BEST prices on PCM's. you'll need to have your VIN ready. but he'll be able to help ya out.
