Default A/C problems

My 2003 Dodge 1500 Ram P/U a/c is giving me problems. When I come to a stop, my a/c blows hot air and then it cools again once I get going. As long as I am moving, it cools very well. The problem only comes on when I am stopped at a traffic light or behind long lines of traffic. Is it possible that the fan mounted near the radiator is not coming on? Bad sensor? Please help. Thanks.
Pickup is standar transmission. 99,300 miles.

Default RE: A/C problems

Check the cooling system, especially the radiator to make sure it is not partially plugged. Also try to check the radiator fan for proper operation. If the engine temperature is rising above normal, some of the heat is transferred to the air-conditioning condenser, which causes the air-conditioner to blow hot..This may help,,dodge truck parts
