Default 4x4 issues

Not sure this is the site to post this on but I figure mopar is mopar. Anyways. I just bought a 1994 Jeep Cherokee country addition with the 4.0L engine. Everything works great except when I put it in 4x4 it seems to pull to the right and almost seems that there is something binding somewhere. Almost feels as though the front and rear axel when put in 4x4 mode to not work together, as though they are different gear ratio's. Could this be? Also the tires are the 235 15's versus what's suppose to be on there the 215 15's. Could that be something to do with it? Also I checked all the fluid levels and all seems fine. Also when it's in 4x4 mode it seems to jerk somewhat when going forward. Also it doesn't seem to matter if I put it in 4 low or 4 high, same thing happens no matter what. Also the only way to take it out of 4x4 mode is to go in reverse until you hear a click from the transfer case. Any idea's from anyone would be great.

Well the pinion gears in the case can be binding up. Also can be like you mentioned different ratios between the two sets of drive pinion & ring gears.
