Default problem starting

I purchased a 2002 Dodge 3500 Ram Van with a 5.9L, Auto overdrive three months ago. Ran fine 5 days a week 10 hours per day. Many starts per day.
One morning went to start, would turn over fine, when I let off key, the engine would run backwards for a second. There is very good fire at spark plugs. Good fuel pressure at fuel rail. I even poured fuel down the throttle body.
Since the engine was running backwards, I desided to turn the distributer clockwise 90 degrees. The engine started with the accelerater nearly wide open. It only ran at idle for about one minuite, Then there was a change in the sound of the engine, so I moved the distributer back to its normal position and the engine ran fine until the next morning when it was back to where it was. I did change the Plug wires, ditributer cap and rotor. and ran the codes. ( PASS )
By the way, The weather was rainy and foggy both days. On dry days it starts ok. I looked for any wet wiring, connectors, and added some sheilding for some of them, plus used an electrical dryer spray on all wiring and connectors.
