3.0 motor swap, mine is wore out.
Not sure if this is the right place to put this but here it goes.
I got a 2000 dodge caravan with the 3.0 with 190,000 miles on it. It tick something fierce which I have been told is that the valve guides in these motors wear badly. And it burns oil, I think though the aformentioned valve guides. I thought about just replacing the heads but with that many miles the bottom end can't be good. I'm not having much luck finding a replacment motor and I don't want to spend a ton on a rebuilt motor(due to the mileage of vehicle) and I've heard the 3.0 litre isn't such a good motor.
My question is is there a fairly easy swap to a different(preferably bigger and better)engine? I'm not against swapping the tranny also if need be.
Thanks for any help
