Default Squeeky Steering

I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd...

When you turn the wheel left and right it makes a pretty loud and anoying squeek or some time of noise like that. There is plenty or steering fluid and it just started yesterday. You can hear it in the cab coming from the steering column and also from outside.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

It is a pretty new belt. Was replaced pretty recent. Truck only has 39,000 original miles. First and only owner. Problem is that its in the hot south so stuff starts to dry rot. Also, left strut starts to squeeking. I think it just needs new bushings.

But cleaning the belt is something I will definately try, thank you.
