HELP! 1999 Toyota Camry Problems!!
alright, well i know it isnt a dodge, but its my brothers car and he is having some problems with it, and it being a DD, he needs help.
The car is a 1999 toyota camry, 2.2 litre 4 cyl. engine.
For a while now its been hard starting, and sometimes when you turned the key it would just click. When you turn the key, in order for the car to idle you have to put the gas pedal down a bit. If you dont the engine stalls. The time you have to put your foot on the gas to hold an idle varies from short to long being 20 or 30 seconds to 2-3 mins. Sometimes it starts and runs but the idle is low at about 300 RPM. Just recently when driving, if you press the gas pedal, you dont accelerate much, then it jumps like it just got a bunch of throttle, and repeats randomly.
We are thinking the problem could be fuel pump, fuel filter, or injectors.
Any suggstions guys? he is looking into new cars but we dont wanna sell it until we fix it and get it running right. Thanks for all your help everyone!! This site has helped my family with almost all our cars's problems, saving cash.
