2000, 1500,5.9 auto 4wd
cruise controllight comes on, but will not engage, anyone have this problem?

check the cruse shut of switch on the break pedal, it might be the same swicth as the break light

good idea! I'll chech that out. I tryed the key on/off nothing, no flashing engine light. My 95 worked that way.
