When changing your tranny fluid/filter, get an old garbage can lid & drill multiple 3/8" holes in the center for the fluid to drain. Place this centered over your drain pan and you will not have a big mess to deal with later. I have a plastic can lid that I have used for over 7 years and now my son uses it in his garage business. Kind of a hand-me-down tool that proved very efficient.
