Default Unusual sound during accleration

I have a 1999 Dodge Dakota 4x4with a V6. Recently, I've been hearing a popping sound coming from the engine compartment. This only happens during accleration and dies off after letting off of the acclerator. What could be the reason, other than that there is no problems and teh engine doesn't die off.

Check your oil pressure,Also try some lucas oil stablizer cuz it sounds like a bad lifter or a main bearing.Becuase when its hot the oil is thinner and it gives more clearence between the bearings.
