Put In new tach need help wireing it to dimer

i just put a aftermarket tach on my 1999 dodge ram 1500 i have it all hooked up right but i just need to know how to hook it up to the dimer???

If you have an illuminated ring around the cigarette lighter that dims , thats an easy place to hook in the wire , either that or remove the head unit and splice into the illumination wire there
