Engine numbers?

i just found a68 coronet super beeclone. it has a 440 but i dont know whatengine it is.

there are some numbers stamped on the block by the front of the intake:6TT 440e 1217

all info is helpfull

Well you must mean What model of the 440? Because I know the 440 shared the same block as the 426 and 413 even though the 426 had different angled engine mounts than a regular 426 wedge. I guess you could say that a 426Hjust an entirely different engine compared to the regular RB series.

I know that 440s have "430" casted into the side (dont know why) ummm that number you have I cant place it, what is your VIN for the car?

You either have VIN code "T" which is normal 440 68- until end of production and a VIN code "U" which is HI-perf 68-78 also. I dont trust the book I have 100% though. I hope that solves your problem.
