I got an '01 Ram 1500 4x4. My problem is that my dash guages are dead. Dash lights are on...the whole nine. It's like when you put your key in the ignition and turn once. It WAS an intermittent problem, but now they are dead altogether. A "Dealership" told me it might be a module and would be roughly a G-note to fix. The truck is running fine but I have no guages. I don't have any Amps or other accessories plugged. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Since it WAS intermittant I'd get underneath and check wiring/plugs ect as there might be a loose connection or bad wire

 

I agree, there's probably a bad connection somewhere. There could also be a bad solder joint or broken trace on the board. It would help if you had the electrical schematics so you could look for something in common between the gauges.
