Default Engine Swap 1999 Dodge into a 1969 Barracuda

Any tips, tricks, suggestions.

I have a running 1999 dodge truck (360 magnum). I am wanting to run @ a minumum the truck engine and fuel injection in my 1969 Barracuda.

I am an Industrial Electrician working as an Automation Engineer @ an Aluminum Extrusion Plant. Not scared of the electrical / mech. nightmare.

Just figured someone out there has ALREADY performed this feat and has some good info.

P.S.
Drove this back in the 80's in high school. Dad gave it to me in 85 for graduation. Drove for 4 years in the Air Force (powered by a 360 out of a 74 Challenger). Continued driving it after out and married and had my first childs carseat in the back (my only car then). Now my 2nd child of 15 will soon be 16 and wants to drive it. Figured the fuel injection 99 360 would beat the 14mpg I got on the highway with the old thermoquad powered 360 did. It has a 727 tranny right now, but I also have a 4-speed and a 3-speed with overdrive standard to put in it. From what I have read the Auto overdrive out of the truck would be a tough install, but still under consideration. Was leaning on the standard 3-speed with overdrive?

Thanks,

Gary

the fuel injected 360 will probably do about the same for gas milage my dakota had the same motor and got 12-13 all day long.it didnt care if i was easy on it or ot was pulling a trailer.i would keep what you got in the cuda and change the carb.what rear gear are you running?
