Gas Guage help
I couldnt find a spot for the dodge shadows so im in here.
I have a 1993 Dodge shadow. 2.2L N/A
My gas gauge is messed up, it jumps from E- full rapidly, so i never know how much gas I have lol. So I planned on buying an aftermarket fuel gauge with the same Ohm's and **** as the stock one to work. I just need to know where to find the lead. On the fuel tank there is 2 different harnesses coming from it, I need to know which one is the sender. So I plan on running off of that lead to my gauge. Will that work? Can i just wire the gauge up from that and mount it? I dont wanna have to track down that little short in the wiring. I might just rewire everything from the tank to the stock gauge if i can ever figure that cluster out lol.
Tomorrow i can take a picture of the 2 harness's if you would like.

I see youre new here so let me say welcome to the DF family!
I just returned from a show where I picked up a Chiltons book on Crysler front drives, it covers your car but only up to '88, I dont think they changed much on the gas gauge wiring so if you could post some pics I can read up on your problem and maybe help you out.

My repair book doesn't have a wiring diagram, I even looked online for one, all I was able to find were pay sites that claimed to have one. Your best bet is like what bad venge said get your self a shop manual it will cost you about $25-$40 but you'll have all the repair info you'll ever need. Meanwhile I'll keep looking for you.
