Hi all,

I have a 2001 Dakota 5.9L that just went though a bunch of repairs. The inital symptoms seemed to be a timing chain, I changed that and it didn't help. This did need to be done though as it turned out I had two problems that seemed related but were not. It ultimately turned out to be a broken valve spring. I had the battery completly out of the car, then put it back somwhere though the process. The keyless remote then worked after it was put back in. Then as the car sat the battery died. I charged it up and jumped it, since then the keyless entry won't work at all. I put in new batteries and still nothing. It is hard to belive that the remote went out at the very same time that the battery died. Does disconecting both of the battery terminals affect somthing? There is no fuse that I can tell for the module. Where is the keyless module? Is there some sort of a reset that you can do to module? I hate to start buying remotes if there is a problem with the parts in the car. Thanks for any help you guys can give!!
