I have a 2001 Intrepid SE, 2.7L, 77k miles.
After I replaced the waterpump I got a crank, no start.
Checked the fuel pump - ok
Pulled the cam sensor, starts after 7 or 8 seconds
Replaced the cam sensor, no difference
Engine code 340, cam sensor circuit malfunction (cam sensor's unplugged, duh)
Friend of a friend of a friend says "just clear the code, it'll be fine"
cleared the code, not fine
some people think the timing's off, I reset it after I replaced the water pump.
This is the condensed version, it'd take a week to write the full version.
