Default Rear disc brakes on 04 Rams

Is anyone having any problems with the rear brakes on there ram 1500 trucks. I got mine this past October and it now has 3500 miles on it. I took it back to the dealer at 2300 miles because the right raer rotor had about six grooves in it. The dealer said not to worry about it that it would go away.. Now at 3500 miles I have grooves in both rear rotors and it's not going away. The worst part is that this dealer sold out to a Ford dealer that I hate and they will shortly be selling Dodges. If I'd had known this I would have bought the jap truck in the first place.

I've not any brake issues on mine and I have almost 14K on it now. The rotors look good, but it does spend very little time off-road. If you go off-road at all, you're increasing your chances of picking up some muck or small stones that can cause those sorts of things.

I don't ever go off the road. It may get dirty. Get it. I didn't buy it to screw it up. cost to much. It's hard enough now to wash.

I have the same thing on my Durango(left rear), and got the same response from my dealership. Although, I had a slight vibration under light braking and they replaced my front rotors. Hmmm. Wonder if there might be some POOR rotor castings getting thru quality control.

No problen w/ my rear or fromt rotars. Just checked after reading this post. I have 35,000 miles on my 04. I wonder if I did have them and they just magicly went away...yeah right. Get on the dealer about it. I had a squeak in my front suspension as soon as I rolled off the dealers lot, they replaced both lower arms of the front end to no avail. Turns out it was just a bur in the sway bar that needed to be ground down. Ooops on them. Stay on them, its a brand new truck so it better perform like one.
