Default Stereo Question

I hooked my deck up even spent the money to buy them lil plugs where everything plugs right in. Get everything hooked up and grounded and no speakers. Deck does everything it is supposed to do but there is no sound. Any ideas to what this problem is. I have heard rumor there is a wire you must snip in the steering column to produce sound.......this true?

Sounds like you wired the speakers wrong.

My brother had this problem in his Ford Probe. Does you car have a factory amp? If so is there a wire on the harness that you attached to the deck to turn the amp on. He ended up running new speaker wires and just bypassing the amp... Something to look into maybe!

Yeah talked to a dude that installs stereos for a living today. He said that you must connect the blue wires (amp wires for external devices) and yeah they sound excellent just gotta find a door speaker to replace the one that is blown, stock is pretty good, just need to run my sub now.
