I am at my wits end so if anyone can help I would apprecitate it. I have a 1987 dodge ram van 250, I have replaced (spark plugs, wires, rotor, rotor cap, coil, battery. ) I still have no spark at all, and engine will crank but wont start. I cant think of anything else. ANYONE????[:-]

 

It may be the electronic ignition control box, or the magnetic pick-up in the distributor.

 

Did you check your timing.?

 

That wouldn't cause it not to spark though.

 

If your timing is off, so will your spark be off..Then it won't start.

 

Yes. But he said that he has no spark. If he changed all that stuff, something isn't telling the coil to fire. Ignition problems are a true PIA.

 

So, did you get it fixed yet.?

 

i have the excact same problem. Does anybody have any ideals. the oil pumped locked up. we put that on . and now it will not start. we are not getting any spark at all. we have changed almost everything. postion sensor,coal,wires battery
