Druango Tranny Temp
My Durango seems sometimes to be a little low on Tranny fluid. It's a 3 speed with OD. So I check it... here is the problem... in the book it says:
"Remove the dipstick and feel if the fluid is hot or warm. Hot fluid is approxinately 180f, the normal operating temperature after the vehicle has been driven at least 15 miles. The fluid cannot be comfortably held between the finger tips."
Doesn't matter if I drive it 15 of 250 miles the temperature never seems to get up to even close to "cannot be comfortably held between the finger tips"
Is this a problem. It says that if it's not 180 to use the holes, not the safe area on the dipstick. Transmissions are picky.. they will slip with too little or too much fluid so I don't want to overfill/underfill it!
Thanks!!
