No, they are completely different between makes(Mopar, GM, Ford, Toyota, etc.), but are usually the same between models(Ram 1500, Ram 2500, Dakota, Durango, etc.).

That would be a great idea, it would help out a lot of people. And don't forget to put up how to retrieve the codes as well.
